NWS Memphis (Western Tennessee, Eastern Arkansas and Northern Mississippi)

...Early Season Winter Storm to impact most of the Midsouth Wednesday into Thursday... .The combination of Gulf moisture interacting with colder temperatures near the surface and the lift from an approaching upper low will produce light snow across the Midsouth. At times the precipitation may be mixed with sleet or freezing rain. The heaviest amounts of snow will be seen across portions of Northeast Arkansas...the Bootheel of Missouri and Northwest Tennessee. Precipitation is expected to end early Thursday across the south and during the midday hours over the north. ...WINTER WEATHER ADVISORY REMAINS IN EFFECT FROM 3 AM WEDNESDAY TO 6 AM CST THURSDAY...

* WHAT...light snow...sleet and light freezing rain. Minor snow and sleet accumulations of less than a half of an inch. Ice accumulations of up to a few hundredths of an inch.

* WHEN...From 3 AM Wednesday to 6 AM CST Thursday.
