...Flash Flood Watch remains in effect through late tonight for much of the Mid-South... .Rain, heavy at times, will continue to fall during the morning and afternoon hours. This rain will fall over locations which have experienced recent heavy rainfall, leaving them susceptible to flash flooding. ...FLASH FLOOD WATCH IN EFFECT THROUGH LATE TONIGHT... The Flash Flood Watch continues for

* Portions of North Mississippi and West Tennessee, including the following areas, in North Mississippi, Alcorn, Benton, Calhoun, Chickasaw, Coahoma, DeSoto, Itawamba, Lafayette, Lee, Marshall, Monroe, Panola, Pontotoc, Prentiss, Quitman, Tallahatchie, Tate, Tippah, Tishomingo, Tunica, Union, and Yalobusha. In West Tennessee, Benton, Carroll, Chester, Crockett, Decatur, Dyer, Fayette, Gibson, Hardeman, Hardin, Haywood, Henderson, Henry, Lake, Lauderdale, Madison, McNairy, Obion, Shelby, Tipton, and Weakley.

* Through late tonight

* Up to 1.50 inches of rain is expected across the Flash Flood Watch area.

* Street flooding will be a hazard for travelers. Low-lying and poor drainage areas will be at risk for flash flooding, as well as small streams.

A Flash Flood Watch means that conditions may develop that lead to flash flooding. Flash flooding is a VERY DANGEROUS SITUATION. You should monitor later forecasts and be prepared to take action should Flash Flood Warnings be issued.
