Flood waters caused large cracks in Frankfort road, which has been barricaded for safety. However, people are moving the barricades to drive around them, which causes more damage to the road and is a safety hazard. Plans to fix the road will cost an estimated $500,000 and take 4-6 months to complete. In the meantime, local authorities are imploring you to respect the barricades and take another way around.
A driver refused to pull over for a traffic stop and led officers on a chase, starting at the campus of UAH. The driver ended up trying to ram officers' cars and run over an officer. Officers opened fire on the driver, arrested him, and sent him to Huntsville hospital with critical injuries.
