A Woodville man was injured and hospitalized after his car hit a tractor-trailer early Thursday morning, according to Alabama State Troopers.

A 2008 Dodge Ram driven by William Courtney Parker, 25, left the road and hit a 2015 Freightliner tractor-trailer about 3:05 a.m. Thursday, said Senior Trooper Brandon Bailey.

Bailey said Parker was not using a seat belt when the crash occurred on U.S. 72 near West Brock Road, about five miles west of Gurley.

The crash remains under investigation.
