A Shoals woman has been indicted by a grand jury for a crash in 2017 that left a passenger in her vehicle dead.
Larissa Bowlin faces manslaughter, attempting to elude, and second-degree assault for the crash that killed Jarnais Porter.
Officials said Bowlin was pulled over by Killen police on Highway 72 in October and then tried to take off, knocking the officer that pulled her over to the ground.
Bowlin then crashed the car near Brooks High School, about two miles away from where she was pulled over. Porter -- who authorities said was telling her to cooperate with police when she pulled off -- was killed in the wreck.
