Three water rescues took place Sunday night in Lauderdale County in the town of Anderson.
According to fire officials on scene, three cars were stuck in flood waters at the intersection of Alabama Highway 207 and County Road 50. Killen Volunteer Fire Department deployed its Swift Water Rescue Team to the scene in Anderson shortly before 8 p.m. Sunday night.
Officials say two of the cars were recovered and both drivers were rescued with no injuries. A dive team was sent out to locate the third car. It was found around 10:30 p.m., but no information was provided about the condition of the third driver. We are reaching out to officials throughout Monday morning to gather more information.
Multiple crews responded including Elgin, Sheffield, Killen, Florence and Rogersville Fire and Rescue Teams.
