Is it time to eat and you don’t want to – or can’t – leave your home or office for your favorite restaurant meal? Now you don’t have to, thanks to the food delivery service Waitr – which has expanded into Madison. The Waitr app lets you order from your favorite Madison restaurant … then sends a Waitr driver to deliver it to you for a flat fee of $5.
To celebrate Waitr’s growth, the company will be hosting a launch party at Earth and Stone Wood Fired Pizza on today at 5:00pm. Earth and Stone Wood Fired Pizza is located on 107 A, B, Brookridge Drive in Madison. Waitr is encouraging everyone to come out and be part of the launch and meet the local team. Attendees at the free party can expect tasty appetizers and cool “swag” items to take home with them.
Restaurants in Madison that have already signed up with Waitr include Earth and Stone Wood Fired Pizza, Buffalo Wild Wings, Frios Gourmet Pops, El Omeca, Red Fish Teriyaki Asian Express and Uncle Maddio’s Pizza.
Waitr is seen as the industry’s top food delivery service for customers and businesses alike. Since launching in November in nearby Huntsville, Waitr has delivered more than 9,000 meals in the city and has over 60 local restaurants using the service. The expansion will trigger even more new jobs.
“The Madison community and restaurant owners saw the excitement and success of our food delivery in the area and wanted to be part of it,” said Shaun Tousignant, Regional Marketing Manager for Waitr. “We’re thrilled we can now meet that demand here.”
Nationwide, Waitr now has more than 5,000 restaurant partners and over one million users in more than 180 cities.
Waitr is looking to hire more drivers in the area. Those interested can apply at https://waitrapp.com/become-a-driver.
