Morgan County
* The week of March 30, Pat, Barbara, Wayne, and Bullington will be milled and prepped for paving.
* Sidewalks for the Forrest Street bridges should be poured starting March 27.
* Repair work on Hwy. 231 in Lacey's Spring is ongoing. Tap HERE for an update on detours and HERE for more information.
Madison County
* The city of Madison would like to inform residents that Wiregrass Construction will be paving Zierdt Road in the evenings beginning at 6 p.m. through the night and ending at 6 a.m.
Work is expected to last until April 3, weather permitting.
* Contractors closed Cecil Fain Drive, north of Winchester Road, on March 11 for roadway improvements at the Johnson Legacy Center.
The contractor will rebuild the roadway to include curb and gutter, sidewalks, landscaping and lighting. Contractors anticipate reopening Cecil Fain Drive within 90 days or as soon as the work is completed.
Traffic will be directed to access the Public Safety Training Academy at the former Johnson High School via Colfax Road to Pueblo Drive.
Please use caution when traveling in this area and along the detour route.

* Weather permitting, beginning Feb. 26, and continuing for the next three to four weeks, contractors will begin work on Franklin Street between Lowell Avenue and Governors Drive to extend the right turn lane.
The contractor will install a temporary single lane closure on Franklin Street between Lowell Avenue and Governors Drive. This work will be performed between the hours of 7 a.m. and 3 p.m. daily. Motorists should expect delays during these hours.
Traffic Control measures will be in place to help assist traffic. Motorists are highly encouraged to take alternate routes to avoid traffic congestion.

* Old Highway 431 is closed to replace the one-lane bridges. The road will be closed from the Cove Park entrance to just North of Cherry Tree Road through Spring 2021.
* Contractors are shifting traffic on Old Madison Pike at Research Park Boulevard to the south side for bridge construction as part of the Research Park Boulevard Improvement project. A new bridge at Old Madison Pike will be constructed to allow one lane of traffic in each direction (2-lanes) across the bridge between January 2020 to mid-2021.
All access ramps will remain open during the bridge construction. Northbound traffic on Research Park Boulevard exiting to Old Madison Pike heading west to Cummings Research Park will be converted to a free-flow movement to minimize stacking of traffic on Research Park Boulevard and I-565.
* Old Highway 20 at Norfolk Southern Railroad, located between Segers Road and Greenbrier Road, will be closed for railroad and bridge construction until the end of the year.
Detour routes are in place to direct traffic to Greenbrier Road and Segers Road in the area.
* The right lane of Jefferson Street between Clinton Avenue and Spring Street will be closed for approximately 10 months for the contractor to construct a new hotel.
Traffic control, as well as detour signage, will be in place to direct traffic around the work area. Motorists are encouraged to use Monroe Street to Church Street to avoid congestion.

Lawrence County
The Alabama Department of Transportation is acquiring equipment and mobilizing personnel to fight flooding at Alabama 101 and Lawrence County 406 in the Lennon Hill community north of Town Creek.
ALDOT closed the intersection Feb. 10 after heavy rain.
Pumping of water will continue for an undetermined period of days or weeks. Once water levels are low enough, ALDOT will inspect the road to ensure its integrity prior to reopening it to traffic.
Limestone County
* Dupree Hollow Road will be closed until further notice between Hwy. 99 and Hunter Gates Road due to the failure of a drainage structure.
* BAT Traffic Solutions will continue some signal work on Athens streets as weather allows for the next few weeks. Travelers can expect lane closures and delays until work finishes.
