Update: All lanes are back open.

From earlier:

The Alabama State Trooper at the scene said only the male driver was in the car. He was flown to Huntsville Hospital. The call of the wreck came in around 7 p.m. Friday evening.

Troopers say the driver lost control of his car, and it flipped onto the roof and cracked the pole. He had to be cut out of his car by the Huntsville-Madison County Rescue Squad.

One lane is open.

Huntsville Utilities responded to the scene, because the wreck damaged a telephone pole, causing an outage. Service has been restored to the majority of customers.

The flipped car is not in the roadway, but the emergency vehicles are as they continue to work.
