Tornado Watches issued for much of North Alabama

UPDATE: The Tornado Watch has been extended to 6 a.m. for Marshall County.

Lauderdale, Colbert and Franklin counties have been removed from the watch.

THE NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE HAS EXTENDED TORNADO WATCH 55 TO INCLUDE THE FOLLOWING AREAS UNTIL 3 AM CDT SUNDAY IN ALABAMA THIS WATCH INCLUDES 4 COUNTIES IN NORTH CENTRAL ALABAMA LIMESTONE MADISON IN NORTHWEST ALABAMA COLBERT LAUDERDALE THIS INCLUDES THE CITIES OF ATHENS, FLORENCE, HUNTSVILLE, MUSCLE SHOALS, SHEFFIELD, AND TUSCUMBIA.

THE NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE HAS ISSUED TORNADO WATCH 55 IN EFFECT UNTIL 3 AM CDT SUNDAY FOR THE FOLLOWING AREAS IN ALABAMA THIS WATCH INCLUDES 5 COUNTIES IN NORTH CENTRAL ALABAMA CULLMAN MORGAN IN NORTHEAST ALABAMA MARSHALL IN NORTHWEST ALABAMA FRANKLIN AL LAWRENCE THIS INCLUDES THE CITIES OF ALBERTVILLE, ARAB, BOAZ, CULLMAN, DECATUR, GUNTERSVILLE, MOULTON, RED BAY, RUSSELLVILLE, AND TOWN CREEK.
