This weekend, Huntsville will play host to thousands of outdoor enthusiasts, a reality television star and a waterskiing squirrel.


On Friday afternoon, the doors will open for the 8th Annual Tennessee Valley Hunting and Fishing Expo.

Friday 

  • 3 p.m. to 9 p.m. 

Saturday 

  • 9 a.m. to 8 p.m. 

Sunday 

  • 10 a.m. to 5 p.m 

The event brings in about 35,000 patrons, according to event organizers.

This year's expo will feature guest appearances by "Duck Dynasty" star Jase Robertson, 2012 Bassmaster Classic Champion Chris Lane and Rattlesnake Dave Richardson.

There will also be more than 500 sporting manufacturers' booths available throughout the event.

On Saturday, the state and regional duck calling championship will be judged.

Those planning to come with children should arrive early. Zebco rod and reel combos will be given to the first 100 kids through the doors each day.

Adult admission is $10.00, and children 12-years-old and younger are admitted for free.
