Corrections officials in Talladega are looking for an inmate who left his job assignment Thursday morning.
John Adam Mitchell, 43, left his work location around 11:25 a.m. in Talladega, according to the Alabama Department of Corrections. Mitchell was sentenced to five years in prison last year for receiving stolen property in Jefferson County. He was assigned to the Childersburg Work Release Center.
Mitchell is 6 feet tall and 190 pounds with brown hair and hazel eyes. He was wearing state-issued white pants and a white shirt.
