Six taken to hospital after single-vehicle wreck on I-65 at Hartselle

Medical evacuation helicopters from Florence, Scottsboro, Cullman and Vanderbilt responded.

UPDATE: The Morgan County Sheriff’s Office says one vehicle was involved and was carrying six passengers. It was heading north on Interstate 65.

Witnesses said the vehicle swerved and over corrected, causing the driver to lose control. The vehicle ran off the road and hit a tree.

Two people were flown to Vanderbilt Hospital and four were transported by ambulance.

The Morgan County Sheriff’s Office reports that multiple agencies responded to a single-vehicle wreck with injuries on northbound Interstate 65 near Exit 28 in Hartselle.

At 9:45 p.m., the Alabama Department of Transportation reported the scene was cleared.
