Police are investigating a bank robbery Thursday afternoon in Albertville.
The Regions bank at 7330 Highway 43 was robbed shortly before 1:30 p.m. Albertville police say a man walked into the bank and after an interaction with a teller, he forcibly took cash from the teller drawer. He then walked away and was caught nearby.
Police say a customer realized what was happening and chased the suspect.
A vehicle believed to be associated was stopped by Boaz police, and three additional people were detained. The vehicle was impounded.
All four of them were taken to the Albertville City Jail.
No one was injured, and police believe all of the money has been recovered. They say mugshots will be released upon formal charges being filed.
