LOS ANGELES (AP) - Stormy Daniels' lawyer says she has raised hundreds of thousands of dollars in her legal fight against President Donald Trump using an online fundraising site.

But the unusual method of crowdfunding for legal fees raises transparency questions about who is actually supporting the legal fight.

Daniels and her attorney, Michael Avenatti, have raised more than $490,000 on the website CrowdJustice.com.

Many of the thousands of donations have been made anonymously in amounts ranging from $10 to $400.

Legal experts say it isn't the normal course of business for lawyers to turn to online donations to pay for legal fees.

Loyola Law School professor Jessica Levinson said the donations could raise ethical concerns about where the money is coming from and whether donors are trying to influence the case.
