The Alabama State Board of Pharmacy has closed a pharmacy in Florence.
A sign from the board has been placed on the door of Barnes Healthcare and Pharmacy, 221 N. Court St. The door is locked.
Members of law enforcement were inside the building on Thursday since 9 a.m., and we know no one has been arrested at this point.
Eddy Braden, chief investigator with the Alabama State Board of Pharmacy, said they have served two documents. One is a court order signed by a judge, and the other is an order by the board of pharmacy, he said.
Local officials said they have nothing to do with this. We also have spoken with the attorney who represents the pharmacy, and he said he can't get answers as to why they are doing this to his client's business either.
