Some schools, colleges closed Monday from lingering winter storm impacts

On Sunday, some districts and colleges in the Shoals announced that they would be shifting their plans in response to the remaining storm impacts.

Even though the winter storms of last week are now in the rearview mirror, their lingering effects are causing some school systems to close their campuses or teach remotely on Monday, February 22.

On Sunday, some districts and colleges in the Shoals announced that they would be shifting their plans in response to the remaining storm impacts.

Here's what has been announced so far:

Closed:
- Lauderdale County Schools
- Franklin County Schools
Campus closed, virtual learning:
- Colbert County Schools
- Northwest-Shoals Community College, Phil Campbell campus
School start time delayed:
- Lincoln County Schools - 2 hour delay
