Sheffield City Schools in Colbert County announced Monday that fans will no longer be allowed to attend home basketball games during the regular season due to an increase in coronavirus cases.
This is for the safety of student-athletes and on the recommendation of Helen Keller Hospital officials, according to the district.
No decision has been made on whether the ban will apply to postseason games.
