Riverton Elementary was first established in 1918 and is turning 100 years old.
The school is planning a big party to celebrate.
School alumni, community members and current students are invited to the birthday party on August 30th.
The current principal was once a student at the school and looks forward to seeing the school continue to grow.
"My grandmother went to school there, my dad went to school there, I went to school there, and both my kids have gone to school there, so we want to see the school be successful," Riverton Elementary principal Jeff Malone said.
The party starts at 7:30 p.m. next Thursday.
There will be alumni speakers, a balloon release and more.
The school is also selling 100th birthday party t-shirt's. The is a limited amount but the shirts can be bought at the school.
