The final touches are being put onthis weekend's Panoply Arts Festival.
Right now, Big Spring Park in Huntsville is closed until Friday at 5pm.
The park entrance on Church and Williams Street is closed, as well as Monroe Street, past the Von Braun Center through Williams Street. However the east side of Big Spring Park is open to the public.
In recent years, weather has impacted the festival, even canceling it.
WAAY 31's Alyssa Martin found out if the rain we've seen today is dampening any of the final set ups.
Alyssa Martin: Despite the rainfall today, vendors are still out here at Big Spring Park getting set up for Panoply to kick off tomorrow. Festival organizers tell me the rain we've seen on and off this week might have slowed down their set up at first, but they are quickly catching up.
"We did get set back a little bit because of the rain on Sunday but we're all caught up now, we'll have more vendors moving into the park today, and artists as well."
The festival is held at the end of the month, and ofr several years, rain has been an issue for festival goers. With a sunny weekend in the forecast, organizers are expecting a big turnout.
Daniela Perallon: "We have about 75,000 people who come to Panoply Arts Festival and those are numbers that we clocked a few years ago, and with this sunny weather this weekend we're going to blow that out of the water."
And for those who plan on checking out the festival, organizers say they are making it a weekend to remember.
Daniela: "This year we've expanded our arts marketplace, it's the largest its been in the festival's 36 year history, we have 110 artists from 16 states."
The gates at Panoply will open Friday at 5 o'clock, and tickets are sold at the gate.
