Troopers identify victim in deadly Lauderdale County wreck

One person was killed in a wreck Tuesday morning in Lauderdale County.

UPDATE at 2:30 p.m.: Alabama State Troopers identified the victim Tuesday afternoon as Janette Greer McGee, 86, of Florence. They say the two-vehicle crash happened at 10:40 a.m. on AL 157 at the intersection of County Road 24, approximately one mile north of Florence.

Troopers say the Ford Contour McGee was driving collided with a Pontiac G6.

McGee died at the scene of the crash. The other driver had injuries not considered to be life threatening.

One person was killed in a wreck Tuesday morning in Lauderdale County, according to volunteer firefighters at the scene.

It happened on Cloverdale Road. A second person was transported to a local hospital.

Two vehicles were removed from the scene.
