A Cullman man died Friday after the vehicle was driving collided with a school bus, according to Alabama State Troopers.

Joshua Charles Skinner, 35, was pronounced dead at the scene about 7:15 a.m. Friday when the 2000 Nissan Frontier he was driving crossed the center line of County Road 747 and hit a 2014 Bluebird International School Bus, said Senior Trooper Brandon Bailey.

Bailey said Skinner was not wearing his seatbelt in the crash about six miles east of Cullman.

Five juvenile passengers on the bus were transported to local hospitals for treatment, Bailey said.

Troopers continue to investigate the crash. Speed "is believed to be a contributing factor to the crash," Bailey said.
