One person is dead after a shooting on Gusmus Avenue in Muscle Shoals. According to police, the Christmas Eve shooting happened at 4 o'clock Monday morning.
Muscle Shoals Police Chief Clint Reck told WAAY 31 three people are in custody and one person is dead after what appears to be a robbery gone wrong.

Zachary Bratton, 22, and Madison Newsome, 18, are in custody and charged with first-degree robbery. They'll be booked into the Colbert County Jail.
The shooter who was the intended robbery victim, who has not yet been named, is also in custody and will be released soon. The deceased is Malaivee Hawkins, 25.
Chief Reck says Newsome, Bratton and Hawkins lured the shooter to Newsome's grandmother's home on Gusmus Avenue with the intention of robbing him. When the intended robbery victim showed up, Bratton and Hawkins jumped him and that would-be victim shot and killed Hawkins. He also shot Bratton who was treated and released from the hospital and is now back in custody.
The case will be sent to a grand jury.
