Power restored in New Market after utility pole fell

The department says the outage was caused by a utility pole that fell on Walker Lane.

UPDATE: Huntsville Utilities says service was restored to all customers at 11:08 a.m. Anyone still experiencing a service issue should call 256-53-LIGHT (256-535-4448).

The department says the outage was caused by a utility pole that fell on Walker Lane.

FROM EARLIER: 

Huntsville Utilities is responding to a power outage in New Market on Wednesday around 10:45 a.m.

According to the outage map, it’s impacting more than 1,300 customers from the Tennessee state line south to Winchester Road and from Highway 231/431 east to Winchester Road.

Huntsville Utilities says service will be restored as quickly as possible, and the cause is unknown at this time.
