Florence police are investigating a wreck that left a 44-year-old man dead Tuesday morning.
The Lauderdale County Coroner's Office identified the man as Rodney Van White. He was killed on Rose Drive when he apparently lost control of his motorcycle and hit a tree.
His body was found around 8:30 a.m., but authorities said they believe the wreck happened a few hours before he was found.
