Clean out the medicine cabinet for Drug Take Back Day

There are several locations for people to drop off expired and unwanted medications Saturday for National Take Back Day.

Several sites will be open in Madison County Saturday for National Prescription Drug Take Back Day.

The annual event, sponsored by the U.S. Drug Enforcement Agency, is aimed at making sure unused prescription drugs are disposed of in a way that keeps them out of the wrong hands. 

In 2017, the effort brought in 456 tons of unwanted medication nationwide, according to the DEA.
