Madison County Sheriff’s Office suspends fingerprinting for public to prevent coronavirus spread

The Madison County Sheriff’s Office is suspending fingerprinting services to the public. It says this is “out of an abundance of caution.”

The Madison County Sheriff’s Office is suspending fingerprinting services to the public to prevent the spread of coronavirus.

The department made the announcement in a Facebook post on Tuesday. It says it’s trying to limit exposure and non-essential visits.

“This is being done out of an abundance of caution in order to limit the potential of unnecessary exposure to the public and our employees,” the Facebook post said.
