UPDATE: Madison County crime scene units responded to a report of a vehicle matching the description of the missing woman’s car parked in the rural Union cemetery area near Allen Road just after noon Monday.

Investigators now believe they have located the missing woman.

“Out of respect for the family we will not be releasing any further details as it pertained to our missing person,” said Brent Patterson, Madison County Sheriff's Office spokesman.

According to a WAAY viewer, he spotted the vehicle parked here Sunday evening but did not know it was related to a missing persons case until he saw a report on WAAY 31 Midday news.

WAAY 31 cameras captured crime scene investigators working in the area and a tow truck took the car away just before 3 p.m. Monday.
