Eric William Harper, 21, escaped while on work detail on Monday morning. Harper was assigned as a trustee at the Committee on Church Cooperation in Decatur.
Harper was last seen walking southbound on the railroad tracks coming from the CCC. He has brown hair and brown eyes and is 5-feet-11-inches tall and weighs approximately 150 pounds. At the time of the escape, he was wearing a lime green t-shirt, blue jeans and black running shoes with white soles.
Authorities say he has no family in the area and they believe he is trying to go to Tennessee.
