Huntsville Fire and Rescue crews responded to a house fire Sunday night around 9 p.m.
Officials said the fire broke out at a home on the 2100 block of Edinburgh Drive, just west of South Memorial Parkway. The department said the house's garage was engulfed in flames when they arrived.
No injuries were reported. Family members at the scene said everyone that was inside got out safely, including a dog.
The family said that two people were sitting around when the dog started barking at the garage door. When they opened the door to check it out, the fire swept through the house.
When asked what was in the garage, the family told me a car as well as a washer and dryer.
The fire department said the cause of the fire is currently unknown.
At least five trucks responded.
