Huntsville Fire and Rescue battles house fire on Tyler Road

Crews battled a fire on Tyler Road Tuesday evening.

Update: Huntsville Utilities responded to the scene. There were no flames when WAAY 31 arrived to the scene, but there is extensive damage to the home.

According to Frank McKenzie with Huntsville Fire, four adults and two dogs are displaced. Red Cross responded to help them.

There were no injuries.

A battalion chief said there was fire damage to part of the home around the garage and there is smoke damage throughout it. He said they’re still hitting hotspots, but expect to leave the scene by 10 p.m.
