Hot and not as stormy Wednesday

Damaging storms have ended for the night.

Posted: Sep 10, 2019 7:35 PM

Scattered showers and storms will fade after sunset tonight. For Wednesday, rain chances are lower and the heat remains the same. Temperatures start near 70 degrees and highs climb into the mid 90s under a mostly sunny sky. Much like today, heat index values will be near 100° during the afternoon.

Expect the heat to intensify as the weekend approaches. Highs will be in the upper 90s Thursday and Friday. While the confidence in the forecast past Saturday is fairly low, it's possible our next real chance of rain comes with an increase in moisture out of the south due to a tropical disturbance in the Gulf.
