Hartselle's Garrett Wade named Gatorade Alabama Player of the Year

Hartselle pitcher Garrett Wade received a huge honor from Gatorade on Tuesday.

Hartselle lefty Garrett Wade is your 2018 Gatorade Alabama Baseball Player of the Year. 

The Auburn signee went 7-2 with a 1.02 ERA, 109 strikeouts, 20 walks and 18 hits allowed in 54 2/3 innings of work in his senior season.  He also did work with the bat in his hands, hitting .391 with a .485 on-base percentage, nine double and 27 RBIs. 

Wade now becomes a finalist for the Gatorade National Player of the Year Award after earning the nod as the Yellowhammer state's top baseball player.
