Granto Road was shutdown in Harvest Monday.

Sources tell WAAY 31 it's connected to the disappearance of Jennifer Powers that happened about 10 years ago.

She lived along the road at time.

Deputies spent the last day out here digging behind a home on the road, and a neighbor told us they were at the home all day on Sunday too.

However, deputies wouldn't say what they were doing besides, "work."

Investigators walked in and out of the backyard of the home.

It’s not the house where Jennifer Powers lived when she disappeared. It’s the house next door.

We saw search dogs and heavy machinery brought onto the road all afternoon. Investigators also put up a tent.

Last month, investigators reminded people about a $10,000 reward for information in Powers’ disappearance.

In July, deputies said they questioned a person of interest. Almost a year later there are still no arrests or charges.
