A Huntsville native and international recording artist is working with Florence High School students on her new album.
Kim Tibbs has seven number one hits in Europe. The soul artist's most recent album named "Kim," was recorded at FAME Studios in Muscle Shoals.

She is recording her next album at the Florence High School record studio.
Tibbs is teaching the students how to write their songs while giving them a taste of what it is like to work with a professional musician.
"They have something in their DNA. They are great. I'm looking at 17-year-olds that are going and playing like professional musicians," said Tibbs.
Mulitple students are playing guitar, drums or doing vocals on her upcoming album. Many of them tell WAAY 31 Tibbs is an inspiration to work with.
"It's been great, it really has been. It's been one of those expierences that I will remember," said Ethan Sak, a Florence High School sophomore, who will be doing vocals on some of the tracks.
Tibbs will be at Florence High School all week recording and working with the students.
Tibbs is also a Calhoun alum and was recently nominated for the best international artist for the 2017 Bright Star Awards in the United Kingdom.
