DeKalb and Marshall County school officials called off classes due to snowfall in some portions of the county Friday morning.
DeKalb County Schools, Fort Payne City Schools and Cornerstone Christian Academy in Rainsville all announced they would be closed. DeKalb County government offices were closing at 11 a.m.
Marshall County schools were closing at 10:45 a.m.
Boaz City Schools are closing at 11 a.m.
Albertville City Schools will dismiss at noon.
Guntersville City Schools will dismiss at noon.
Arab City Schools will dismiss at 1215 p.m.

Cullman County Schools announced they would be releasing students at 10:30 a.m.
Snow was accumulating on grassy surfaces, rooftops, cars and porches in Marshall and Dekalb counties Friday morning, and more snow was possible throughout the morning.
