Corey Davis, whose trial on multiple rape and sexual abuse charges began Monday, pleaded guilty Tuesday morning in a Lauderdale County courtroom.

Davis, 29, pleaded guilty to two counts of second-degree human trafficking. He will receive a life sentence with the possibility of parole.

Police said Davis lured women into rural areas after meeting them online. One woman was found tied up in an abandoned home, according to authorities.

But Davis's attorney had said the women were prostitutes that had advertisements posted online, and he didn't hurt any of them.

Davis will be formally sentenced Dec. 6.
