UPDATE: Alabama State Troopers say two Cincinnati, Ohio residents were killed when their car left the road and hit a tree on the driver’s side.

Troopers say excessive speed was a factor in the wreck on AL 184 in Colbert County, about 3 miles east of Muscle Shoals. Both the driver and passenger died at the scene.

Officials are not releasing the names of the victims until family is notified.
