UPDATE: The City of Bridgeport says it has been informed that it can no longer report any confirmed cases within the city.
The city posted this statement to Facebook:
"The City of Bridgeport has just been informed that we can no longer report ANY confirmed cases within our City. We were informed that our previous post must be taken down. This is disappointing and frustrating to us as well, in that we are only trying to keep our citizens as informed as possible during this most difficult time. As of now, the only information regarding confirmed cases can only come from the County. Again, we share your frustration. Stay well. And remember, that Mayor Hughes has asked that if anyone is in need of anything or needs any assistance that he may can provide to please feel free to contact him on his cell phone at 256-663-0017. Thank you and stay well."
