Searchers have found the body of a missing Moulton woman.

On Sunday, a private search party found Jennifer Marshell White’s body and her SUV off of Highway 33 at Bankhead National Forest in Winston County.

White was last seen in Moulton on April 8th. She was the wife of Moulton City Councilman Brent White.

“It’s pretty crazy, really," said Marcus Springer. "I mean, there’s plenty of places in there where you’d think stuff like that would happen, but it’s kind of crazy with it happening around here.”

Marcus Springer says he was out enjoying the scenery at Bankhead National Forest—a normal Sunday drive for him—when something out of the ordinary happened.

“A private search party had found the body and the vehicle of what we believe to be Jennifer White that has been missing from Moulton for approximately a month," said Winston County Sheriff Tommy Moore.

Moore says Jennifer Marshell White’s body was found inside her Chevy Tahoe.

The tahoe was parked on a logging road off of Highway 33.

Right now, the sheriff suspects no foul play, but the incident is still under investigation.

Springer says he can’t imagine what white’s family is going through right now.

“I’m sure it’s hard on them either way," Springer said. "I’m sure this will help to calm them down a little bit, just knowing that she’s been found. But, I mean, either way, it’s still going to be a difficult time for them.”

Until the investigation is complete, everyone WAAY 31 talked with says they’re keeping the family in their thoughts and prayers.

“My condolences to the family," said Sheriff Moore. "I hope this will give them some closure. I know they’ve had a long 30 days worrying about their loved one.”

Marcus Springer says it may give them some closure, but he believes the White family will have hurting hearts for a long time to come.

“It’s closure for them, but at the same time, it’s bad, I mean, just having to deal with it for this long," Springer said. "I’d hate to have to go through it myself. I mean, prayers out to them, and my condolences out to them.”

Officials say an autopsy is scheduled, and we should have more information on what happened to Jennifer White on either Monday or Tuesday.
