WAAY 31 has teamed up with the non-profit Visible Hope to collect for new backpacks for needy children in the Tennessee Valley.

Visible Hope is different from other organizations; 100% of their funds raised go back to their projects. On the first day of school, Visible Hope will deliver over 100 backpacks and school supplies to students selected through the backpack program on their website.

Along with a free backpack, children will receive school supplies, free haircuts for boys or hairstyle vouchers for girls, and other sponsor donated items.

If you would like to donate a new backpack, you can bring them to the WAAY 31 studios at 1000 Monte Sano Boulevard. If you would like to donate, go to visiblehope.org .
