Three people are facing charges after agents with the Morgan County Sheriff's Drug Enforcement Unit attached to the ALEA Region F Task Force attempted a felony traffic stop on an individual with outstanding warrants on Interstate 65 near Lacon overnight Tuesday.
The vehicle failed to yeild to the patrol units lights and sirens leading deputies on a pursuit through Cullman and Morgan counties, according to a Facebook post from the Morgan County Sheriff's Office.
The Morgan County Sheriff's Office was assisted by Alabama Law Enforcement Agency State Troopers, Cullman Sheriff Deputies, the Falkville Police Department and Cullman Police Department.
The vehicle was eventually stopped by Cullman County and Morgan County Patrol Units in Battleground along Hwy. 157.
* Matthew Blake Ferguson, 35, of Decatur with Possession of Heroin, two counts of Reckless Endangerment, Attempting to Flee/Elude, Resisting Arrest, Criminal Littering, Possession of Drug Paraphernalia and outstanding warrant for Bond Violation- Theft of Property 2nd. Additional narcotic and traffic-related charges are pending.
* Savanna Renea Bailey, 20, of Decatur with Obstructing Governmental Operations and Resisting Arrest.
* Maryellen Virginia Griffin, 42, of Decatur with Obstructing Governmental Operations and Resisting Arrest.
