Two people were shot Sunday in what Lauderdale County Sheriff Rick Singleton is calling a domestic situation. It took place between brothers-in-law.
Singleton said it happened in a home in the 1,200 block of Highway 64 in Killen.
Deputies responded to the home about 7:30 p.m. Sunday and found two men with gunshot wounds and another uninjured man, according to the sheriff's office.
The sheriff's office said the uninjured man lives at the Highway 64 home, and one victim is his son and the other is his son-in-law.
The son called the home threatening violence and showed up armed, the sheriff's office said.
The son-in-law and other family members were at the home.
"An argument ensued and the son-in-law and son were shot," according to the sheriff's office news release.
The son was flown to Huntsville Hospital and the son-in-law was taken by ambulance to North Alabama Medical Center.
Both are expected to make full recoveries, Sheriff Rick Singleton said.
No arrests have been made and the incident remains under investigation, with evidence being presented to the Lauderdal County Grand Jury.
