The Limestone County Sheriff’s Office is investigating after three people were found dead at a property in the 22000 block of Black Road.

Law enforcement responded to a call for a welfare check and found one body in the house, one body in the garage and one body in a shed.

The call came in about 10:30 a.m. Wednesday. All three victims are adults.

Law enforcement officials say they are not searching for any suspects and believe the incident is domestic in nature. They said the heat is making it difficult right now to give a time estimate on how long the people have been dead.

"As far as neighbors and people in the community, they shouldn't be worried about someone running around. That's not going to be the case in this situation. It's very unfortunate and we grieve for the family and we grieve for the people involved, but the surrounding area in the case is not believed to be impacted," said Stephen Young with the Limestone County Sheriff's Office.

Neighbors said they walked outside Wednesday afternoon to crime scene tape and deputies at their neighbors' house.

"It's scary it's so close to home. It doesn't get no closer than this. They have been our neighbors for the last three or four years. They have been real quiet, downright to themselves type people," said Michael Evans, a neighbor.

The sheriff's office said it's Domestic Violence Awareness Month. They hope increased awareness can help prevent tragedies like this in the future.

"October is one of those times when we focus on domestic violence. Unfortunately, this appears to be the result of domestic violence. It just further emphasizes the need for that to be addressed, not just by the community, but by individuals and families when they have issues to seek some help," he said.

Investigators, the coroner's office and District Attorney Brian Jones spent the day at the home.

The sheriff's office said this isn't the first welfare check deputies have made at the house recently. Deputies said they were notified there may have been an ongoing domestic issue involving the people who were found dead on Wednesday.
