Huntsville Police, Huntsville Fire and Huntsville Emergency Medical Services Inc (HEMSI) responded the scene of a deadly wreck that happened Saturday evening.
Shortly before 7 o'clock, HEMSI officials said they and other first responders were called to Patton Road near the intersection of Broyles Avenue for a vehicle vs motorcycle wreck.
HEMSI Spokesman Don Webster said when officials arrived, they found Philip Jerome Fletcher, 50, dead after he hit a 2008 Pontiac G6. The driver of the other vehicle was not injured in the crash.
Police said Fletcher was driving north on Patton Road when the Pontiac, heading southbound, went to turn left onto Broyles Avenue. That's when Fletcher hit the front of the car and was thrown from the motorcycle.
Investigators said evidence at the scene suggests speed was a factor in the crash.
