UPDATE: The City of Decatur says it is staying in touch with and trying to help local businesses during this unprecedented time.
People are urged to practice preventative actions like covering your cough, sneezing into a tissue and using social distancing. Officials say they are following CDC guidelines and urge the public to do so as well.

Curbside recycling is temporarily suspended in the area.
The Decatur and Austin High School community storm shelters will be open on Tuesday with the threat of strong to severe storms. The Morgan County Commission says people should follow normal severe weather procedures and seek shelter if necessary.
A flu and fever clinic will open in Hartselle on Tuesday. We are working to learn the address for this.
Decatur Morgan Hospital says they hope to receive more testing kits. Team members have been tested, and those results came back negative.
There have been 16 negative test results at the hospital, and 10 patients are under investigation awaiting test results.
The hospital says the area is not seeing the surge that some other places are seeing. They are, however, planning for this.
