A slow moving cold front will advance from the North, providing the lift needed to trigger in scattered showers and thunderstorms for our forecast on Thursday.

The timing of the front is looking to move through early Thursday morning, bringing in heavy showers and possibly gusty winds for the commute into work.

Shower activity looks to die down heading into the afternoon time on Thursday, but fire back up on Friday as this cold front will stall out right over Northern Alabama and stay with us into the weekend. Although we don't expect a complete washout, thunderstorms are expected to pop up, especially during the afternoon time.
