HUNTSVILLE, Ala. (WAAY) - Kickers can either be the scapegoat or the hero of any game whether they deserve it or not.  Just ask Al del Greco.  The former Auburn and NFL kicker took some time to swing by the Huntsville quarterback club Tuesday night to talk football and also give his insight on if and how he thinks the Auburn tiger program has turned around.

"It's been a while since I actually spoke here but it's a great opportunity to share the passion of college football with Auburn and Alabama fans and everybody here in Huntsville," said del Greco before speaking at The Ledges Country Club.

The kicker who helped lead the Tennessee Titans to a Super Bowl appearance also likes what he sees in this year's Auburn squad.  "You know you have to be optimistic.  I think there's still a lot of room for improvement obviously.  But you have what I think is a bunch of kids who looked, at least last week, like they were having fun again.  They had some confidence.  They looked like they knew where to line up with what was going on.  It didn't look as 'helter skelter' as last year.  I really believe that confidence grows from something like that."
