Decatur, AL - Decatur Police have arrested and charged a woman with False Reporting to Law Enforcement, and are warning others that they take this kind of crime seriously.
According to police reports, 21 year old April Buffkin went to Decatur General Hospital on September 2nd, saying she'd been raped by two black men. Buffkin then filled out a police report about the alleged attack.
After an investigation, Buffkin was questioned again and reportedly admitted she lied about the incident. A warrant was filed against her and she turned herself in for the crime on September 9th.
Police say that Buffkin's allegations wasted not only their time and money, but also that of Decatur General Hospital.
