A Marine Colonel who's made it his mission to help recover treasures stolen primarily from Iraq, was in Huntsville Thursday evening.

Marine Colonel Matthew Bogdanos talked about the investigation into the theft and looting of the National Museum of Iraq....as Baghdad slipped from Saddam Hussein's control in 2003.
Bogdanos has helped recover 5-thousand of history's most priceless antiquities stolen from eight countries.

Bogdanos says, "These aren't just pieces of cracked alabaster with funny writing on them. They are living, breathing testaments to our shared cultural heritage."

All royalties from Bogdano's book, "Thieves of Baghdad" will go to the Iraq National Museum.
